The Vikes success extends to the classroom. Last year a record 73 student-athletes were recognized as Academic All-Canadians.
Academic All-Canadian distinction is presented to varsity athletes who maintained a grade-point average of over 6.6 (A equivalent) in the previous academic year. In the instance of CIS sports, student-athletes were also recognized as CIS Academic All-Canadians.
All-Canadians are recognized each year at a special Honour Roll luncheon presented by Grand & Toy.
The Vikes student-athlete with the highest academic average is annually recognized at the Vikes Athletics Awards Banquet with the Provost’s Award for Excellence.
