Hall of Fame

The University of Victoria Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 2002 and exists to honour those individuals who, through participation on varsity or community teams, have contributed significantly to sport or recreation at the university as athletes, coaches, a team, or as builders/administrators.

UVic Sports Hall of Fame Terms of Reference

The goals of the University of Victoria Sports Hall of Fame are:

  • To honour outstanding contributions which have enhanced the University's image and reputation through sport or recreation
  • To preserve and record the history and tradition of sport at the University of Victoria
  • To promote sport at the University of Victoria
  • To provide fundraising opportunities for the department of Athletics and Recreational Services at the University of Victoria.

Completed nomination forms may be submitted to the Director, Athletics and Recreation. The winners in each of the four categories will be honoured at an annual event. Selections will be vetted by the University of Victoria prior to any announcement.
