CAMBRIDGE, MA. – The UVic Vikes women's field hockey team departed for their 2010 pre-season exhibition tour in Boston on Wednesday afternoon.

SCOUTING THE VIKES
A new-look Vikes roster boasting five rookies will have four games to gel before their Canada West opener against Alberta on September 18th.

Last season the Vikes defeated Harvard 2-1 but fell to Dartmouth 1-2 before returning to capture third place at the CIS National Championship in Victoria.

“We're really looking forward to it,” Vikes veteran #Perri Espeseth# said of the series. “There's some good competition down there. Dartmouth gave us a pretty good run for our money and the it will be challenging but it's a really good time for us to come together as a team.”
