Mixed results for day two of FISU rugby sevens
Adam Timler UVic Vikes Men's Rugby
The Canadian FISU men's rugby sevens team came away from day two with a win, a loss and a tie at the World University Games in Porto, Portugal.

The Canadian university side featuring UVic Vikes Adam Timler and Angus MacKay opened the day by notching their second win by defeating Morocco 26-7.

The Canucks then found themselves down 10-0 against Spain before Ryan Wilkes put his side on the board with a solo effort try. Spain scored a converted try before Canada was able to close the gap and come away with a 17-17 draw.

In their third match of the day, the Canadian side ran out of gas against Great Britain and fell 36-12 despite scoring two tries through the efforts of Jon Hill and Rich Lebel.

Canada has to now win both their games against Japan and Hungary on day three to progress to the knockout stages.
